This notice describes spellboundbites.com in its current prelaunch stage: recipe videos and an email list for the first batch of garlic and chilli oils. The site does not currently take real orders or payments.

This notice describes the current website. The operator’s legal identity, privacy contact and record-retention arrangements still need to be confirmed.

What you share

The Brevo signup form asks for your email address and an unchecked consent box for first-batch news. You can optionally select one or more oils you are interested in. Choosing an oil card prefills that choice in the form; you can change it before submitting. These preferences are sent to Brevo with your signup. No price preference is requested. The email field at the top of the homepage only passes your address to the bottom form in your browser; it does not itself send a subscription request. Submitting the bottom form sends the details to Brevo. Signup and confirmation records can include technical information such as IP addresses and timestamps.

Confirmation and choice

Joining the email list is optional. We rely on your consent to send these updates. The form uses email confirmation: follow the link Brevo sends to complete your subscription. You can withdraw consent using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew it.

Spam prevention and connection data

The signup form loads Google reCAPTCHA v3 to help detect automated abuse. It can run without showing a checkbox or puzzle. When the form loads, your browser connects to Google; reCAPTCHA processes technical and interaction information for risk analysis and sets a security cookie called _GRECAPTCHA. The website and form providers also receive connection information such as your IP address, browser details and requested resources to deliver and protect their services.

Information stored on your device

The website uses local storage to remember your chosen language (spellbound-bites-language), last selected video (spellbound-last-film) and shopping bag where used (spellbound-bag). These values stay in that browser until replaced or cleared; there is no automatic expiry in the website code. Clearing site data in your browser removes them. The current shopping flow is a demonstration, not a payment service, and may save a demo order locally. Cookies and storage used by embedded third-party services are separate from these website preferences.

Video embeds

Recipe videos use TikTok’s embedded player. It connects to TikTok when the player loads, potentially before you press play; below-page players may load as you approach them. TikTok receives connection data and may use its own cookies or storage. Its player and any consent controls it displays are governed by TikTok’s terms. Blocking third-party content in your browser can prevent videos from playing.

Hosting and other services

Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website. Brevo provides the signup form, subscriber records and email delivery. These services receive information needed to operate and secure the site and mailing list. Visiting a page with the form can connect to Brevo even before you submit it.

The site requests fonts from Google Fonts. Those requests disclose connection information, including your IP address and browser request headers, to Google. Social profile links take you to the relevant platform when followed.

Brevo states that its databases are hosted in the European Union. This does not mean that all services used by this website process data only in the EU: Cloudflare, Google and TikTok operate internationally. Their processing locations, subprocessors and transfer arrangements are described in their own documentation. The links below provide more information.

How long information is kept

The website does not set an automatic deletion schedule for Brevo subscriber records. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails but is not necessarily deletion of every record: consent evidence and suppression records may remain to handle complaints and prevent unwanted resubscription. Provider logs, backups and security data have separate retention arrangements. A fixed retention period for these records has not yet been confirmed by the operator.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy, and may object to certain processing. You can withdraw email consent at any time and complain to the relevant data protection authority. Requests may require identity verification. The operator and privacy contact details below are needed to handle requests beyond email unsubscription.

Email open and click tracking depends on the Brevo account and campaign settings; those settings cannot be verified from this website code. This notice therefore does not promise that marketing emails are free of tracking.

Who is responsible

The legal name of the person or business operating Spellbound Bites and a working privacy contact address have not yet been supplied. The brand name alone does not identify the legal data controller.

To unsubscribe from the live mailing list, use the link in an email sent through Brevo. The website’s separate unsubscribe preview is for older development links and is not the Brevo mailing-list unsubscribe service.
